Finished in 5.1 surround sound. This video was shot using multiple production sound mixers and some interviews had no production sound mixer. The challenge was to take the varying qualities of source material and integrate them into the final documentary so that it felt unified. This documentary has been shown at many film festivals and on PBS. I made a specific TV 5.1 surround mix for broadcast based off the theatrical mix.

This video was recorded by several different people, me being one of them, which made it a challenge to get all the interviews to the same level of polished quality. The outside interviews had airplanes and other background noises that needed to be removed.

This video needed the wide shot to match the close ups so EQ matching was applied to get the lav to be closer to the boom for consistency in the dialog.

I recorded all the interviews except Charles (2nd person in video). He was recorded by someone else at really low levels with a lot more background noise. I had to clean him up and work on all the transitions to and from him so there is a consistent feel to the final video.

This was a really fun, creative video I had the pleasure of recording all the production sound and then doing a full audio post job on. The director cut in SFX during picture editing and then I edited and ramped them up with more SFX and sound design in audio post. This video went viral on Facebook and has been highly acclaimed in the advertising community. AdWeek gave it recognition.

This feature was done by me and one other person at Skywalker Sound. I am the Supervising Sound Editor and did all the dialog, ADR, Foley and music editing. My partner at Skywalker did FX, backgrounds and sound design. We each pre-mixed our halves and then brought them together to do the final mix at Skywalker Sound. This is a full 5.1 surround mix that has had a theatrical release as well as several festivals.
